Recently I've been very into making healthier recipes that taste good. The recipe I found this week and wanted to give a try was Cool Ranch Zucchini Chips. Sure, you might be thinking “Zucchini? Really?” But trust me, after you give this recipe a try, you will be hooked.
There is something very special about turning a vegetable into a snack that tastes so good. When you add a cool ranch twist, you elevate it from a forgotten item to one of your favorites. Let's dive into how to make this delicious recipe.
This is a fairly simple process, but it is slightly time-consuming. To start you want to slice the zucchini thinly spread it out on a clean and flat surface and sprinkle a little bit of salt on top. You want to let the salt sit for about 10 minutes and then remove as much moisture from the zucchini slices as you can with a paper towel. After this is done you want to preheat your oven to 220 degrees F. Then you want to grab a large bowl and combine zucchini chips and olive oil and stir then season with 1 tablespoon of ranch powder and dill and mix. Once everything is mixed together you want to place the chips on a flat cookie sheet and arrange zucchini slices on the sheets in one layer, but make sure that none overlap.
Here is where it gets a little more time-consuming. You want to bake the zucchini slices in the oven for about 40 minutes, continuously checking them. After the 40 minutes are done you need to take the chips out of the oven and flip them over and bake for about 30 more minutes, or until you think it is crispy enough. Once this is done you can enjoy!
This recipe turned out pretty well, I may have let the zucchini chips get a little too crispy but it still tasted really good. So next time you are in the mood for a snack and have some time on your hands, reach for this recipe.
This actually sounds pretty good and the instructions you've provided are very clear and easy to follow. I am a big fan of veggie straws so I imagine I'd like this.
ReplyDeleteI have made carrot chips but this looks so good. The only type of vegetable chips I refuse to make is eggplants. That is gross. I need to try this next time I go to the grocery store.
